toStringToString Method

Convert an IFormattable to a String with a specific format but default IFormatProvider.

Parameters

this
Type: SystemIFormattable
The IFormattable to convert.
format
Type: SystemString
The format to use.

Return Value

Type: String
this converted to String under format and CurrentCulture.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type IFormattable. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
